Learning Disability Liaison Nurse (Health Facilitation Service, Bedfordshire and Luton)
Do you have a passion for working with people who have a learning disability and supporting them to access health services when they need to?
An opportunity has arisen with the Acute Liaison Nurses of the Health Facilitation Service, which is part of the Learning Disability Service in Bedfordshire and Luton, East London Foundation NHS Trust. (ELFT)
The role will be split between Bedford Hospital and Luton and Dunstable in accordance with service demands.
Main duties of the job
The role is suitable for a dynamic and compassionate registered nurse who is committed to supporting the needs of adults with a learning disability who are accessing the services within an acute hospital setting either as an inpatient, an outpatient or planned admission.
You will need to be passionate about ensuring a high-quality, holistic approach to the health care and support provided to people with learning disabilities, in the acute care environment. You will be required to work autonomously and as part of a wider team and deliver on projects reducing health inequalities.
You will be provided support to develop your nursing skills within an established team, to enhance your autonomous practice and engage with a range of different agencies. The Trust actively encourages professional development through the appraisal and supervision process, and you will be provided with regular supervision.

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Operational Lead to join our ambitious 0-19 Service in Waltham Forest on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
This is a key senior leadership role supporting the operational delivery of Health Visiting and School Nursing services across the borough. The successful candidate will bring substantial experience of leading children's public health services, managing large teams, delivering service improvement and driving performance against national and local priorities.
Applicants must demonstrate a strong understanding of the Healthy Child Programme, safeguarding responsibilities, Health Visiting and School Nursing national agendas, workforce management, quality assurance and service transformation. This is a role for an established leader who can quickly build credibility, provide operational oversight and contribute to the strategic development of the service from day one.

Job summary
Autism Specialist Practitioner, Band 6, Tower Hamlets Autism Service (THAS), 0.6 WTE (fixed-term post till August 2027)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced clinician (Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Nurse or Social Worker) with an interest in developing their skills and experience in diagnostically assessing and working with autistic adults. The successful candidate will work as part of a well-integrated, capable multidisciplinary team delivering high quality evidence-based diagnostic assessment and post diagnostic support services for this group.
The Tower Hamlets Autism Service (THAS) is a specialist diagnostic and brief intervention service. Designed in accordance with NICE guidelines, we operate an open referral system, accepting referrals from any source when it is thought that an adult living in Tower Hamlets may be autistic. We use screening tools and specialist assessments (ADOS-2) alongside clinical experience and expertise to diagnose autism spectrum conditions in adults (without a learning a disability).
Main duties of the job
The main purpose of the role is:
- As part of the multidisciplinary team, to screen and assess for autism in adults (without a learning disability).
- To plan, organise and facilitate post diagnostic support, individual and group interventions, including profession specific assessments and interventions to those diagnosed by the service.
- To provide specialist advice, training, consultation and liaison to support other ELFT staff, social care staff, Primary Care Colleagues and staff in third sector organisations working with autistic adults.
This is an exciting career opportunity for a dedicated applicant with existing direct experience assessing and working with autistic adults, or for those with relevant experience who may wish to specialise in this developing field.

Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or an Allied Health professional with experience in MBT to join the Newham Mentalisation Based Therapy Service. The post is a fixed term, 0.8 band 7 post covering maternity leave.
The service offers a full MBT program to individuals with Complex Emotional Needs. Candidates with past experience in working therapeutically with individuals with complex mental health needs are welcome to apply. Past experience in MBT treatment is preferable.
This post is an exciting opportunity for individuals look to develop their clinical experience in a small and supportive team environment. In addition to offering clinical interventions, you may be involved in other service development initiatives including consultation to other services, improving the offer to families and young people, and outreach work to community teams within the borough.
MBT in Newham is a team based approach. We would like to hear from candidates who value working as part of a reflective, in-person team. Service Users are discussed regularly and the team collaborates closely around care planning. We would welcome applications from people who are reflective and can consider the therapeutic relationship and the impact the work has on them.
Main duties of the job
To provide a clinical service to patients open to the Newham Mentalisation Based Therapy Service and to provide expert support and advice to other members of the team.
The role will require the post holder to:
Undertake psychological assessment of patients referred to the Mentalisation Based Therapy Service and provide specialist reports to referrers and patients
Formulate and implement appropriate treatment plans and provide specialist Mentalisation-Based therapy to patients under the care of the service
To offer individual and group interventions to individuals with Complex Emotional Needs.
To engage with both individual and group supervision, reflective practice further professional development in Mentalisation Based Therapy
