Job summary
We are currently looking for ST3 Trust doctors in Medicine at the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford covering the General Medicine on-call rota. There are various sub-specialities available such as HCOOP, Gastroenterology, Respiratory and Stroke. These posts will be for 12 months in the first instance.
We are a friendly, motivated and supportive department seeing approximately 70,000 patients each year. We achieve the 98% access target and are proud that we provide a high quality, patient focused service to the local population.
Main duties of the job
The role is a Trust Doctor in Medicine. The post involves duties on a full shift basis of 40 hours.
The Trust Doctor in acute medicine takes part in the on-call rota, 1:10 with prospective cover and has the clinical responsibility with day to day provision of routine and emergency medical care to a level appropriate to the grade for all patients on the Clinical Decision Unit. This post will give the candidate the opportunity to acquire experience in Respiratory medicine or TIA management or rotate to ITU.

Applications are invited to apply for a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine vacancy at the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust as part of a major expansion of Respiratory services.This post is based at The Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother Hospital, Margate.You will be joining a team of 7 Consultants, 1 Respiratory Nurse Consultant, 7 Nurse specialists (sleep, lung cancer, NIV), in-patient Respiratory practitioner team, fully equipped Respiratory Physiology department and staff and a dynamic, rapidly evolving department, reconfiguring to allow targeted sub-specialty work and 7-day respiratory service across the region. An increased Administrative & secretarial team to support clinical staff with adequate offices with IT equipment.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to support respiratory services at QEQMH which have ward-based working. The Respiratory team at the QEQMH manages patients on Fordwich ward, a 20 bedded ward, which is a purpose-built ward for respiratory patients. NIV patients are managed on this ward and all staff are trained to do this. There will also be involvement with Outpatient Clinics seeing a variety of New and Follow up Respiratory patients.
The appointee will share junior staff with a Consultant consisting of 4 middle grade doctors (including 2 x Higher Specialty Trainee) and 4/5 F1 to IMT grade doctors. An interest in pleural disease management, Lung cancer and ILD would be an advantage. Candidates interested in Intensive care/Respiratory Medicine, or Infectious diseases/Respiratory Medicine are also very welcome and any combination of specialities can be discussed. Any other interests will also be welcomed and supported. Applicants interested in education and involvement with the new Medical School will be supported.

Job summary
As a result of maternity leave a temporary exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic Team at QEQM.
The successful candidate will work as part of a highly experienced, friendly team of a Band 7 Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, Band 6 Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists and also rotational band 5s, Band 4s and support workers. A good range of Band 5 rotations is essential. The post holder will be expected to provide regular post graduate training within their clinical specialty and work alongside Band 7s to complete some departmental managerial duties.

Main duties of the job
Band 6 Physiotherapists work closely with all users of our services and their families, friends and carers who all play an invaluable contribution in how our users experience our services. Band 6 therapists are expected to be kind and responsive but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services provided across the health economy by:
- To manage daily a clinical specialist caseload within each of these rotationsand be responsible for the assessment, formulation and treatments and to give highly specialised therapy advice to members of the MDT.
- To deputise for Team Leader on clinical and managerial issues within the team
- To be actively involved with training within the Department
Each clinical area has friendly supportive teams where regular meetings, CPD and supervision is available
