The postholder will lead patient flow, workload allocation and maternity escalation processes to support the safe delivery of care and ensure compliance with local and national standards.

The role includes promoting high-quality, evidence-based practice, supporting quality improvement, audit, incident management and clinical governance activities, and working collaboratively with obstetric, anaesthetic, neonatal and wider multidisciplinary colleagues to provide safe, responsive and compassionate care.

You will support the development, wellbeing and performance of colleagues through coaching, teaching, supervision and role modelling, fostering a positive learning culture. The postholder will also provide compassionate leadership and support to women, families and staff during complex, challenging and emotionally demanding situations.
